Foundation Grants
CELEBRATE THE ART OF TEACHING PROJECT GRANTS
Martha's Vineyard Bank and its namesake Foundation are committed to supporting the education of students from Martha's Vineyard and Falmouth. The Celebrate the Art of Teaching Project Grants are designed to fund programs that enhance and support students' educational enrichment by adding that something extra outside the basic curriculum. Funding can be for items such as equipment and instructional materials for math, science and language art programs, author visits to the schools, and creative writing workshops.
Individual grant amounts range from $250 to $1,500.
Grant Guidelines:
- Grant applications are submitted by individual Martha's Vineyard Public School and Falmouth Public School educators.
- Grant applications are submitted by specific grades, departments, or curriculums within a specific school within the two named school systems.

MONTHLY & QUARTERLY GRANTS
Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation is committed to the betterment of our community in the areas of Education, Economic Development, Climate and Environment, Health and Human Services, Culture, Art & Historic Heritage, and Community Services. The Foundation awards grants and donations to nonprofit organizations operating on Martha's Vineyard and in Falmouth. Applications are reviewed monthly or quarterly depending on the amount of the request and whether the organization has received a previous grant for the project from the Foundation. The chart below outlines the review schedule. A decision is typically communicated within thirty (30) days following review.

Looking for Educational Mini Grants?
Art of Teaching Project Grants were formerly Educational Mini Grants.
Educational Mini Grants were awarded to teachers annually and applications were open to all teachers within the Martha's Vineyard Public Schools and the Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School for up to $400 per teacher. The goal of Educational Mini Grants was to enhance the classroom or student experience for teachers who applied.
From 2010 through 2020, Martha's Vineyard Charitable Foundation awarded over 300 Martha's Vineyard teachers a total of $116,000 through the Educational Mini Grant program.

- Community Impact Grants enable members of the community to nominate and vote on a nonprofit that has had particular impact in the community the previous year.
- Monthly and Quarterly Grants support our community in the areas of Education, Economic Development, Climate and Environment, Health and Human Services, Culture, Art & Historic Heritage, and Community Services.
