2022 Contributions

In 2022 The Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation donated 266 grants totaling over $1.163 million to 139 non-profit organizations. Larger awards included the following:

Our grant to Lower Cape YMCA helped to fund scholarships for Childcare, Early Education and School Age programs in Falmouth.
With our grant, Felix Neck/Mass Audubon was able to purchase a Freedom Chair All-Terrain Wheelchair to increase park accessibility.
Our grant to the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club helps fund the After School Program, which includes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & science) education.
Habitat for Humanity received a grant to assist in the development of much-needed affordable housing in Falmouth.
Our grant to Sheriff's Meadow Foundation supported the development of a free interactive app for Trails MV.
Featherstone Center for the Arts was awarded a grant for their summer programming of cultural, artistic, and musical events.

In the 24 years I've worked for Martha's Vineyard Bank, I've seen the Bank's commitment to the community grow by leaps and bounds. I have volunteered at many nonprofits on and off the Island, which the Bank promotes by giving employees 8 paid hours, during work time, to volunteer for the charity of their choice. It is amazing how Martha's Vineyard Bank and its employees can show their care for their communities through this good work!
