THE ART OF TEACHING PROJECT GRANTS

Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for Falmouth and Martha's Vineyard public school students.
Art of Teaching Project Grants aim to finance initiatives that boost and enrich students' education by providing additional resources beyond the standard curriculum. Funding may cover items like equipment and teaching materials for math, science, and language arts programs, author visits to schools, and creative writing workshops. Grants range from $250 to $1,500 per individual application.

Educators from the Martha's Vineyard and Falmouth Public School districts should submit applications for particular grades, departments, or curricula within these two public-school systems.

MONTHLY & QUARTERLY GRANTS
Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation is dedicated to enhancing our community in the areas of Affordable Housing, Climate and Environment, Community Services (including Food Security), Culture, Art and Historic Heritage, Economic Development, Education, Elder Services, Health and Human Need and Special Capital Expenditure. The Foundation provides grants and donations to nonprofit organizations based on Martha's Vineyard and in the Town of Falmouth, MA. Applications are considered monthly or quarterly, depending on the request amount and whether the organization has previously received a grant from the Foundation. A decision is generally communicated within thirty (30) days after the review.
Guidelines for Grant Applications:
- All organizations applying for grant funds must work in our communities of Falmouth, MA and Martha's Vineyard, MA.
- An organization applying for grant funding must be a 501(c)3 organization.
- Organizations may submit one grant application per rolling 12-month period. A grant application should be submitted for a project or program. For an event, please use the sponsorship application here. Please contact foundation@mvbank.com with any questions.
- The Foundation will not fund an organization under one year old, using the date reflected on the organization's IRS Letter of Determination.
- The Foundation will not be the sole funder of a program or project.
- The Foundation does not fund individuals, religious, municipal or governmental organizations or programs. The Foundation does not pay salaries. The Foundation does not fund travel, meals or housing costs.
- The Foundation does not make grants or donations to "conduit" organizations, unified funds or any other entity which has the sole intent to act as a donor organization.
- All grant requests must include a detailed project or program budget.
- All grant requests must include a detailed plan for outreach and communication of Foundation support.
- A grant request of $50,000 or more may only be submitted by invitation. An organization must submit a Letter of Interest (LOI), detailing the project or program for consideration. Further instructions will follow after a decision is made on the LOI.
- All documentation submitted must be in PDF format only.
