Martha’s Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for Falmouth and Martha’s Vineyard students.

The Art of Teaching Project Grants aim to finance initiatives that boost and enrich students’ education by providing additional resources beyond the standard curriculum. Funding may cover items like equipment and teaching materials for math, science and language arts programs, opportunities in the arts and other creative endeavors. Grants range to a maximum of $1,500.

2025 Guidelines

  • Available to Falmouth and Martha’s Vineyard public school teachers only and must be applicable to a specific grade, department and or curriculum within the school.

  • Each teacher may submit only one application. If more than one is received from a teacher none will be considered.

  • Regular classroom supplies or libraries, field trips, extended trips, transportation, refreshments and decorations are not eligible for funding. Compensation for teachers or staff and trips to attend educator conferences are also ineligible.

  • Author visits are no longer eligible for funding.

  • Computers are not eligible for funding.

  • A complete project budget must be submitted with the application. More details available here.

  • Uploaded files may not exceed 5MB/file and must be in PDF format. Other formats will not be considered.
