2022 Contributions

In 2022, The Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation awarded 266 grants totaling more than $1.16 million to 139 nonprofit organizations. 

Larger awards included the following:

Our grant to Lower Cape YMCA helped to fund scholarships for Childcare, Early Education and School Age programs in Falmouth.
With our grant, Felix Neck/Mass Audubon was able to purchase a Freedom Chair All-Terrain Wheelchair to increase park accessibility.
Our grant to the Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club helps fund the After School Program, which includes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & science) education.
Habitat for Humanity received a grant to assist in the development of much-needed affordable housing in Falmouth.
Our grant to Sheriff's Meadow Foundation supported the development of a free interactive app for Trails MV.
Featherstone Center for the Arts was awarded a grant for their summer programming of cultural, artistic, and musical events.

In my 24 years with Martha's Vineyard Bank, I’ve watched our commitment to the community deepen in meaningful and measurable ways. I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with many nonprofits on and off the Island, supported by the Bank’s policy of providing employees with eight paid hours during the workday to serve the organization of their choice. It is truly inspiring to see how Martha's Vineyard Bank and its employees demonstrate their care for our communities through this dedicated service.
